@darkwitnesslxx yes but i would be putting my own effort and knowledge into it and making it myself. you can give an AI and a human the same collection of images to reference, and the human will reference, but it is their own hand made piece, only taking inspiration. AI on the other hand could only create an amalgamate of all those artworks, essentially copy pasting parts of the references, and while making a new image, that image is made up only of the reference images, no real effort or skill needed. the issue isnt the fact that it references other peoples art, the issue is the ability of it to mass create art using pieces that others put effort into, potentially taking jobs away from those artists. The reason i think AI might one day have issues with copyright is because we see it recreating signiatures, or sometimes even creating an output nearly identical to a pre existing artwork.
