Personally I feel like LLM are tapping into ONE thing our brains are doing when it comes to memory and retrieval and combining known information. The one thing humans can still do better is adapt in real time based on experience and intuition. LLM's don't experience anything after the training is done so they are locked in. It's still up for debate if AI is capable of generating information and training itself in a way that expands capability not just reinforcing it's current ones, and also if that information is of the same quality as real life experience. LLM's currently have a glass ceiling and no one's broken it completely.
