On the Gartner Cycle; I think it’s still on the downward to the Trough. Everyone was so fast to jump on the AI bandwagon without thoughtful analysis. All those software engineers that were let go will get higher offers coming back. Leaving companies with AI systems they paid for and still paying employees. To apply a quote from Dr Ian Malcolm, ‘Companies were so preoccupied with whether they COULD replace employees with AI they didn’t stop to consider if the SHOULD replace employees’.
