act 3 is the actual important part, the others will change. and in my opinion, you're still having an all-or-nothing view. you're not skipping everything in the middle. you, as an experienced artist, describe every in-between to it. in this act you started by assuming it's a tool then proceeded to consider the artist is using it as a companion who creates things without their consent. of course, ai has it's own randomness which you can't prevent, but so does our hands! randomness is a key part of art. that's why, even today, traditional paintings are sold for millions. because you can't 100% replicate it. And for the record, your analogy here is the exact analogy people used against digital art. they thought using a digital color palette and painting stuff with stabilizer and having the option to erase stuff at ease is cheating and they're skipping "the human experience"
