There is a round of downsizing following years of mindless expansions. Some companies are hiding this under the “ai” label so 1) they downsize 2) they signal that they’re on board with the new shiny thing. Two pigeons with one stone. But companies *really* laying out workers because of a website that’s months old, that could close tomorrow and that’s a glorified general chatbot that’s not guaranteed to give correct answers and that by design gives different answers to the same question asked an hour later? You’ve really drunk the Kool Aid here, sorry.
