"It takes the boring legwork out of the process." I found coloring an animation very boring. So if i use AI for coloring you have no oppostion to it? Which part the boring part is, is very subjective. I think we can agree to that. In a lot of your cases is have the opposite reaction. A redraw of a frame of a movie is hardly inspired for me. To use an AI Ghibli-style-transfer on a real photo that fits it, can create a genuin reaction from me. As an former animation director the difference between leading an artist and prompting to an AI is not that different. And yes sometimes artists bring something special with them. And in other situations they want to bring something into the project, that simply don't fit or undermine the hole vision. And AI's have still big problems with consistency and understanding the prompts. But to be real. Five years ago the AI images barly resembled a coheisiv picture and now we have videos we sometime have to have a second look before we can identify the weaknesses.
