@Seisys I agree with your point that something that is done for years does not automatically mean it's okay but in this case yes, it's totally OK and it's not weird. Stop trying to make it like it is. It's how humans are. It's like saying women shouldn't grow hair on their legs but the hair is natural. Like who are you to tell them to not do that?
