Music is rooted in patterns that can be reduced to mathematics. Rather than understanding why human music is the way it is, the AI simply synthesises waveforms en mass in an iterative loop in an attempt to build towards an emulation of music. Learning would look far more deliberate with notable breakthroughs leading to novel experimentation... not just brute forcing waveform synthesis in exponents beyond human imagination.
