@charlesgedeon okay what i usually do is give the a labs with which they can do simulations with some simulation software like MATLAB. Student usually in their writeup for the labs use AI. I tell that they can but I often when they use AI to get information for their write ups it is often straying away for from the actual topic. When student that use it sole may not score as high from my reading of their work since they stray so far from the actual content. The student simply as to get information and write the their own thoughts into the write-up may not be write 100% but sound more convincing that they made the effort that ones who copied AI. Often even if one uses AI one would have to give it detail prompts as to what you want in particular. And often one would have to prompt in many time on the same thing refining prompts so that AI can give you the information that you need. I have see AI hallucination after doing this so I recommend saving each iteration of the responses and prompts. Then not use the entirely but but add individualism own opinions and experiences. Also get citeable sources even if the submitted work had AI information. These information should be taken just as an ideas and potential answer not the answer. That is where critical thinking and pre AI skill will come it. AI will make work easier but we can do more work especially in indiviualising submitted work showing creativity.
