@phantom_369-n9bThat would be well, it won’t age well. Claude code is much better than copilot but we are already seeing the effects of AI produced code. Just the escalation in technical debt alone is daunting.
AI will make developers more efficient but the idea that you can throw out a prompt and get an application back or that someone non-technical should be prompting it to generate code is nuts. At the end of the day when the production system breaks someone will be woken at 2am to fix it and it won’t be AI.
The point is there are many functions that could be automated away by AI long before developers are. Most businesses are so manual process focused instead of going after the low hanging fruit they are targeting more difficult and complex work.
