@Lex@LexWellesight, but if you think about it, consciousness is a term devised and defined by our species to essentially include only our species- at least, we declare ourselves to have the highest consciousness of multicellular organisms on the planet. Yet we cannot prove we are anymore conscious than we can prove advanced LLM AIs are not. I think the only thing we can say with certainty is that we are self aware, and there are provable examples of LLM AIs also being self aware.
By the way, I appreciate the discussion, and healthy debate. 🤝
