@2Bluzinmore fun fact for you. Both camera & Lidar use active photon generation. Neither can pierce through physical matter such as snow, fog & rain. Conventional wisdom assumed having both (belt & suspender) would ensure redundant assurance. But in reality, if one is giving conflicting information, then which is correct? Hence, the fallacy of this belt & suspender system. Tesla vision based & their superior AI software will be the standard for all autonomous driving. Btw, my daily driver is a Tesla MX Plaid with HW4 and the latest FSD version and I use it everyday with zero intervention. The AI decision making is mind boggling.
