also whether or not it works for everything doesn't matter as long as it curbs the rampant abuse of ai-crawlers, which is so bad that they frequently overload servers, and use hundreds of ips bypassing any ip blocks, to the point of being indistinguishable from literal malware (which they in some sense, are)
