AI might bring about a communist society.
If AI develops to an extremely advanced level, it could autonomously respond to human needs by conducting research and development, engaging in mining and waste recycling, protecting the environment, and autonomously producing equipment, buildings, and all products required by humans. Additionally, it could autonomously provide most services needed by humans. In this scenario, the three elements of productivity—labor, means of production, and technology—would all be provided by AI for free. Consequently, capital's contribution to social life and production activities would disappear. Wouldn't this lead to a society with minimal wealth disparity, where there is no need for labor to provide surplus value, essentially achieving a communist society?
