While there is stuff such as AI slop, AI generated images that are made with the intention of being art should be considered art. There is a deliberate creative intention of expression behind it, and its not different than other types of non-ai generative art. If there are rules such as "the author must retain direct control over the entire creation process" then pieces such as Condensation Cube cannot be considered art anymore.
