IBM has the ability to do that in the short term because they have the financial ability to do it, in the short term…and it makes sense to people who follow the current business structure, but AI will disrupt corporate structure as we know it. In the long run, businesses will start making decisions based on competition. Once the first company starts to downsize, all the other companies will have to follow to stay competitive. It won’t end at the entry level either. AI will affect middle mid level and upper management positions too.
