Sadly DreamUp is just another Stable Diffusion using a LAION-5b database, which already scrapped DeviantArt artworks and other various sites one before this AI generator was created......... so I don't think this opt-in feature does anything because dA puts disclaimers they don't do anything to protect from 3rd parties who scrap, as the opt-in features seems to just be a metatag added onto art, so scrappers can see it but doesn't stop anything. dA basically would have to get rid of the whole AI and start the database from nothing if they want an ethical AI. But dA don't want to reteach the AI generator since that will take months and they want money now XD I have been considering leaving dA ever since eclipse, but I have supporters on the platform and I can't risk losing them since I don't have much of a following elsewhere since every social media is just going downhill ;u; I also do not want to delete my years of artwork on dA, and just hope that the lawsuits that been started will start impacting all of these AI generators and be forced to pay artists/coders/writers/victims. (Like I heard there was a lawsuit against scrapping LinkedIn database & scrapping databases who sold stolen medical information, so I expect much more political news in the future as child p*rn is distributed with AI generators as well)
