We might get UBI in return for our attention. It will be a strange new world, but you can both spend all the time doing whatever you want, but there will be goddamn ads everywhere for tat.
Or they might just put us all to death, but UBI is probably safer and it still lets them use everyone as a resource.
The covid lockdowns in some way when I was handed money and didn't have to be around people at all was great because being around people is torture. (I am diagnosed autistic and the years of rejection and misunderstanding make me hate human interaction, yet still crave connection, but I hate people and want to avoid being hurt more, so anything that reduces forced interactions is like heaven to me.)
It would mean I get infinite time to work on my own art, even if it will be so much slower than the content produced by AI, but if it's interesting I can still get some attention.
