Billionaires are getting permits right now to drill thousands of wells to pipe water across states and regions to these data centers. The hundreds of thousands of gallons of water they plan to pump will deplete our aquifers and make most private wells and rural water co-ops unable to reach deep enough to reach the water. Big cities already are scrabbling to access enough water for growing populations, so when they get these permits and drill their wells, millions of people will not have enough water
