i think that UBI might be a first step to actual systemic change, and that it might give the conditions for many people to start organizing and deciding for themselves. something else bugged me though; is automation even viable? climate change really is the biggest crisis we're facing; the contamination produced by all the robots + extraction of materials for their construction and everything would come at a terrible cost for the environment... can't we just farm and produce what's necessary for survival ourselves? labor doesn't have to be exploitative, right?
