I held a Class A CDL from 1992 to 2010. I am so glad to see these automated trucks. Truck drivers are some of the most dangerous drivers on the road. Not to mention some of the most, I want to say vile, but I'm not sure that exactly fits. Just look at the big stack of piss jugs outside any truck stop and you'll understand what I mean. These automated trucks are so much better for the public. And of course the teamsters are going to be against them. When I drove chip truck on the coast I saw the teamsters go to bat for one of our drivers who tested positive for cocaine.
