As a courteous person I was already in the habit of doing this but it has been noted that niceties, like “please” and “thank you” are costing us when it comes to AI. It has to pull energy for every prompt and that energy doesn’t just magically manifest –AI already comes with an environmental cost, we have to be more mindful of our use.
