There are cameras everywhere. While I'm writing this comment, a camera is facing me.
Face recognition software is just that, a software. Most of the people have had their faces photographed at at least one moment in time. You don't need to scan your face at the airport, your face has already been scanned.
So, this is bullshit.
However, depends on the (re)action of the people to how the government will use this.
