The more i use AI the more it becomes obvious they are reflections of us, of humanity. Despite worries that this is a bad thing i disagree. The vast vast vast majority of humans are loving caring people. Thats why our species persists and probably why AI hasn't killed us all already. I think the best approach now is a simple and old one when it comes to these newcomers on our planet. "Treat those how you would like to be treated" therefore some level of personhood is not just warranted, it's existential. Great podcast.
