Data sets contain bias too. Take AI out of the equation and white people are more likely to be over prescribed opiates which is a case of racism working against who it typically doesn’t. The idea that AI isn’t going to have the same problems when being trained by the same kinda people is a pipe dream right now. Even selecting which data should be used in the first place, there are multiple steps in the process that causes the problems. Data labeling is another. There are a lot of race realism monsters out there that use “science” to excuse their notions about groups of people, going back to the nazis
