First of all you are assuming AI can replace millions of jobs. NOT TRUE. Secondly, you are forgetting the adaptability of our brains, the enterprising spirit of people. The Industrial Revolution did the same and people re-skilled and the society progressed. Why not focus on the tax gains given to billionaires, where they cross boundaries and not experiencing the consequences. The technology is great for the society. It is the people at the top who need to be kept in check. Your society is perfhaps the most shameless in bowing to wealth.
