Humans are so cowardly conditioned by a productivity-obsessed mindset that they can’t even imagine themselves free to spend their time doing enjoyable things that don’t exist just to make money (which is insane).
Come on, just by removing the mandatory, nonstop nature of systematic work, AI will already have brought an immeasurable boost to human quality of life.
Nothing will stop anyone from creating something that gives them satisfaction, fulfillment, and joy, but without insane goals to hit, without living under endless pressure, just for the pure creative pleasure that many people naturally have.
How many things do we stop doing in life (learning an instrument, diving deep into a sport, practicing art, traveling, personal projects, etc.) simply because we live like factory-farmed chickens locked in stinking little cages, just eating and laying one egg a day for our employer?
