Ya I agree with the concept of not understanding your codebase if you leverage claude. This is what I cant get passed -- I can only really speak for the workflow at my job, but if the team here doesnt understand the codebase, we really just cant operate. Its too risky. Its gonna burn the client. And we lose a client, well, we are a small company. We lose our jobs at that point basically. People will say "just review the code before claude changes / adds it", ya, I get that, but. You wont understand your codebase as well than if you actually wrote it. And I will die on that hill. I think the safest use case for claude atm is code analyzation: "Look over my project and write me a markdown file with design alternatives / refactor advice, etc". "Can you point out some pitfalls with my approach, and provide an alternative approach"?. Also, I use it for CSS, because a: Im not great at CSS and b: if I dont understand the CSS, then the nuts and bolts of the program still behave the same regardless. So, ya im watching the whole thing like a hawk -- curious what people can get away with, and im curious how it will all pan out.
