1:07:53 so is the solution really "be the first one to build the weapon"? Or is it "start building defenses against this weapon, now"?
Instead of racing to this potential end all tool of complete power and dominance, wouldn't it make more sense to start isolating and defending ourselves from it in case we don't win? Start separating our utilities from the Internet, start integrating "archaic" physical securities into things like banking.
Wouldn't 1940s america laugh in the face of an AI threat? Just think about that for a moment... maybe the answer is actually taking a step back instead of racing forwards.
