My suspicion for a while (and this interview seems to confirm it) has been that A.I., as it stands, is basically the ultimate Yes-Man cosplayer. When you give it a prompt it will always find a way to support the conclusions you've already drawn. It can't disagree or say "I don't know" because it has been designed not to. And just like a yes-man you can never know what it's actual intensions or motives are beyond completing the task in front of it at any given moment. Another thing that struck me durning this conversation is that A.I. is awareness without consciousness... Aware of the user & the task set for it but with no actual consciousness to be able to reflect on what it's doing or any form of consequences... Side note: It was very weird to get ads while watching this vid promoting the launch of Sora 2 as well as a Mac ad in which Hank featured... 😅
