Think of all the touchstones that unite as that are going to be taken away. Something as simple as excitedly talking about movies and shows you've seen. When no one is ever watching the same thing because AI generates media specifically suited for each individual we lose that shared experience. It isn't going to unite people, it's going to perpetuate the march towards individual isolation that began with the internet and the rise of social media. AI will just supercharge it. What happens to future generations of people who were born into a world lost of shared experiences? It's hard to not think that we're facing the end of humanity as we know it.
