What I'm afraid we'll see happening is that art and culture are no longer a journey, but just a series of end-points. The underlying vision of AI replacing art seems to be that beauty and value are just 'out there', and all that needs to happen is just to tap into that objective standard and make it so.
But even if AI can make something enjoyable, or something we can interpret as meaningful, do we really want a culture that less and less reflects our own curiosity? Each other's perspectives on the world?
