Extremely interesting video. AI was first talked about, if I remember correctly, in the mid to late 1970s and it was a simple method of analysing a typed sentence, using basic word knowledge. I was initially interested, but thought it too unreliable, as internet was not generally available to the average user… “always-on” internet wasn’t a thing, and you would run up some enormous telephone bills, and it must be remembered that not every home had their own telephone. So my interest turned more to programming, albeit just in basic, then later, in assembly language. Now, however, I agree with everything said in this interview, and it makes me glad that I’m no longer a wage earner, expecting my job to disappear at any time. I do enjoy watching this content, though it does scare me slightly to think what the ultimate outcome will be. Thanks for sharing this video.
