The discussion of Waymo is interesting as it also posses questions of if a person is say running from an attacker or going to a hospital, is the safety of the system actual a fault to reality? Further, if a person has a medical issue and makes a mess in the vehicle, who is there to manage it? Ezra stated it would help people with disabilities, but current offerings don't allow for wheelchair access, let alone more extreme forms of disability. I don't disagree that it would have huge perks having visited SF and seen every driver being distracted, driving under the limit and in lanes they shouldn't, but I've also watch Waymo creep into intersections and endanger pedestrians while waiting at a stop sign for 8 vehicles to pass. What I mean to say is that choice an accessibility are integral, tools are just that and some specialize and fit needs better than others, AI in writing or driving seems to be a gap fill for a less and less accountable society continuing to discriminate on class.
