Those people who try to use the disabled to justify AI being around remind me a lot of the phrase "think of the children!". You know, the rhetoric used by people who don't care about children at all and is heavily mocked as a way to use the vulnerability of kids to emotionally manipulate people in a direction that gets us closer to making the fictional dystopia of Brave New World a little more plausible. I'm able-bodied myself so I can't really speak from the perspective of someone disabled as I notice this but as a trans person whose had to hear that argument to justify being hated the alarm bells were ringing loud and clear on my end, my point basically being it's probably not a good idea to hear out someone whose argument for why we should or shouldn't do something is to go "but how will this affect *insert unrelated vulnerable/marginalised group here* "
