Assuming the problem is that some motorcycles have two back lights, close together, and that it can me mistaken for a car at a long distance.
(The video wasn't clear on what the issue was. Even though it was beautifully filmed and edited.)
The perfect solution for detecting the precise distance would be two front cameras, utilising the parallax.
Another solution, with only one front looking camera, would be that the distance beteen the lights changes with the distance to them.
Both these techniques would be utilized simultaneously by an AI.
It should be no problem at all!
If an AI can be confused by the lights on a motorcycle, then a human would also be confused.
That light configuration should clearly not be allowed.
Have it ever happend that a motorcycle has been reared by a human driver at night? The video doesn't say, so I assume it hasn't happened.(Otherwise, the video would be misleading, and I assume they don't want to be that!)
