This video is delusional. It foolishly accepts that UBI will somehow be magically funded by a govt already $37T in debt. Govt is already cutting emergency safety-nets like SNAP, Medicaid and even Social Security THAT WE PAID INTO ALL OF OUR CAREERS. (SS is not welfare.) How will UBI be funded at all, let alone enough to provide everyone an adundant income for their entire life?
Yes, AI will/does reduce product COSTS but not necessarily PRICES. We may work less and will be paid less, while things still cost too much.THE AI BENEFITS WILL ACCRUE TO THE RICH OWNERS OF CAPITAL, not to the working class. Wealth inequality will soar.
And AI *is* a whole different tech. A shovel could not think for itself or break into our bank account, by itself or with help from a criminal hacker. AI can.
