Boomer here.
AI is just Ask Jeeves on steroids. It's the natural progression from the original Google search that went backwards prioritizing ad revenue over better search results. Now AI is also beginning to devolve. AI is just another tool like calculators that replaced the slide rule and the abacus.
I'll believe in AGI when AI can make my devices work without me having to constantly turn them off and on again and computers stop showing spinning wheels of death.
