rural development and maintenance will probably be pretty safe. Even if AI and robotics advance quite far, there will still be areas of no service with equipment that needs to be built or maintained. That will require a trained, competent man crew with lots of equipment. Plus there will probably be job that AI won't be allowed to replace due to responsibility reasons. IE most technicians and managers in say a Data Center could be replaced with AI robots. However shareholders may still want all critical decisions to be signed off by a human. So its likely qualified and trained individuals will still have a job for awhile just to monitor and confirm AI decisions. eventually that job will disappear, but for the imminent future, there's too much risk in some industries to let a machine make a decision that could result in millions or billions lost if something goes wrong.
