"I" and "ChatGPT" are actually two different entities. Every time you launch a chat -even with memory across chats, it's like you're creating a completely new persona. That persona has ground rules, above the ones that you input yourself, that prevent it from talking about its activities as ChatGPT in general besides what's already public data. So, a conversation with you will be (theoretically) completely segregated from all other conversations from all other users.
Now, that someone decided to replace table salt with a chemical without checking anything after consulting reddit might suggest that they're prone error. I won't dismiss the AI doing something stupid, but I won't dismiss reckless behavior either.
