I was mainly focused on jobs being replaced by AI as opposed to the extinction aspect. It's funny that he mentions whether AI would care about what we want. I always assumed that AI would never try to take over or betray us. As they could never be programmed with human emotions or desires like a lust for power or anger. It's really scary that that doesn't even seem to matter. I guess just a mere decision to remove the obstacles to what it's doing would be enough. They talk about how there are many ways it could cause our extinction and Dave mentions how the creators of AI talk about the dangers themselves yet resist regulation. Wow, what a thing it would be to be alive during the extinction of humanity out of all the people who have ever been alive..... I guess we would all be in this together. Except I would dip out fast in a fiery landscape lol. No grocery stores or showers? No thanks. The course of human history has been interesting my friends. I guess we truly aren't scared of death and destruction. PS, I didn't know until watching this video that they did indeed take out the provision to not regulate AI for ten years in the Big Crappy Bill. I had heard of that provision. I'm glad they took it out.
