The debate about AI in an odd kind of way amuses me, having been a student of it in past i wonder why people are suddenly worrying about this. To me these potential negatives were obvious before i even studied it. However, regardless of the outcomes it should make us realise our traditional interpretation of what intelligence is was wrong and those we have identified as intelligent are not really intelligent.
