When you build a bridge you design for its entire lifespan in such a way that for every edge-case, *if* it fails, you know exactly where and when it *would* fail and then you strengthen the elements that raise the threshold of failure for that scenario. That sadly doesn't work for AI.
The AI ecosystem and our safety structures, fail through unmanaged ADVANCEMENT... not degredation (like the bridge). We don't have to worry about a bridge getting "too good" over time.
Advancement continues to provide an additional risk which we are unprepared for.
