Everyone is talking about white-collar jobs, especially in IT, disappearing. Wait until robots replace waiters, cleaners, construction workers, security guards, shop clerks, etc. In 30 years, there will literally be NO job a human being can do that an AI powered robot could not do better.
UBI will become a necessity when nobody can earn an honest living, with the predictable potential for tyranny. Your monthly payment will be dependent on behaving in certain ways, a bit like the social credit score in China. Ordinary people will have no political power, because 99% of humanity will be surviving on government handouts.
