Brook’s idea is this. All art has been copied by other artists, and therefore using a machine to copy art off the Internet to make a new style of an image that someone else has is the same thing problem is, the user puts in a prompt. They don’t sit down with a paintbrush or a pencil, and spend hours deliberating on whether that was a jacket or a bag. What texture is a leather and stuff like that. There’s no knowledge and understanding and mental growth in AI. You can’t pretend that there is. And that’s what pisses me off about these users. I won’t even call him AI artists. billion dollar companies democratized art so that everybody can create something but that’s something is trash. It’s poop. It’s a byproduct of some neural network.
