The current condition of the world is to the greatest extent attributable to the professed “smart, scientists.” Because they refuse to acknowledge MURPHY’s Law: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."
They dismiss MURPHY’s Law because to accept it would force them to believe that God exists. For only He makes perfect things and doesn’t need to spend his lifetime in the lab investigating how to improve on His creation. For He is omniscient, and obviously, men are not! What a travesty for humankind! AI is allowed so that humans and the rest of the unfallen worlds can see the two different groups of humans on this earth: those who obey God and those who don’t! For it is too late to regulate AI as we have proof that it is self-regulating! We are already out of the picture in the regulation sector!
