Anyone else seeing a disturbing pattern in Korea? Like... why do we like K-Pop again? After all these videos I'm really starting to feel like #AllKoreanMen . This is TERRIFYING. This is life ending and NONE of the perpetrators are punished. Not to mention the EFFING KIDS!? CP deepfakes?! Are the y-carriers (because I refuse to call them men. no MEN, no REAL MEN act like this) in Korea THAT deprived , depraved and depressed? This is crazy. I'm honestly scared for these women and CHILDREN. Edit: Ok did some quick research and learned that this behavior towards women is basically baked into South Korea culture as a whole. Some blame Confucianism. Some blame conservative sentiments that rose during historical economic down turns but the end of the story is the culture of South Korea has never seen women as anything but property. Through that lens the brazen callousness of the men in these stories at least has a visible trajectory. That doesn't justify their behavior but I think understanding it helps me frame these cases better in my mind and understand why the women are resisting. To call this a fight is too optimistic imo. These women are quite literally fighting centuries of culture. David had better odds against Goliath. Edit 2: I thought about it a little more and this makes all those American soldiers marrying SK women during the war INCREDIBLY sus now...
