In the long term even if these things do deliver I think the more realistic trajectory will be similar to how house builds have declined with modern "builder grade" techniques: fast prefabricated cheapest materials and minimum skill lowest bidder work by contractors with an over-inflated sense of their ability.
With software we are already seeing failures by LLMs on security etc, but if these fails are not too expensive they can be buried in the press. With the current culture of ubiquitous gambling and short-termism I can see more firms taking the risk to save a buck. Perhaps this is an opportunity for more "inspector" roles to come into play as has been done in construction, with their own analytic AI tools and years of experience to help clients CYA.
