i think it is important to note that bernie sanders is not saying full stop that AI is a bad thing, but that our laws need to be updated with the times.
by switching to a 32 hour workweek as bernie suggests, we would help fight unemployment (which will only get worse as things become more automated).
i think this would actually help to make AI a great thing, because it would actually help restore some power to the working class, since people would have more time to work multiple jobs or start their own business. not to mention the leisure time that we would get to spend with family and friends, which is something anyone, regardless of political affiliation should value.
