AI is not smarter. AI is just more willing to take the evil and malevolent route compared to the average person. It takes the average person a way longer time to turn to malevolent tactics than AI.
To deal with AI you must not think with the polite and merciful mindset society raised us to conform to. It is simple game of chess were you move your king(malevolent tactics) first rather than your pawn(Polite tactics).
